A few weeks ago I was asked to teach some extra classes at the Education Office in Ilsan very close to where I live. At first I was a bit hesitant mainly because I’ve learned the hard way here in Korea there is always a catch…even with the simple stuff. Even when you ask all the right questions. Even when you think you have all the information in order to make your decision. Even when you are reassured countless times that all the facts are correct. Even after all that…there is something…always something. I let you know later if the ridiculous amount of money they promised actually is correct. But…I did it anyway mainly because it sounded fun and because I’d get to teach something other than English. So I put together a workshop for a select group of students. I had a blast. The workshop was on habitat and here are some of my kids working on their culminating activity…invent and build your own animal. There was more to it than that but I doubt you want the boring details so here is the sizzle as my friend Scott would say.
Here are the grade sixes working on their animals.
