Ok so it's Sunday today and after being here a whole week I get to start work tomorrow!! I am grateful for the extra time though, it was very necessary seeing as I got my last bit of furniture only yesterday. Yes it took all week for that to get sorted out which included 2 trips to the furniture store and 3 deliveries. That's ok though it can happen anywhere. I wont go into all the details I will just focus on my apartment right now. What's is like?? It's small but I expected that. It's approximately 15' wide x 25' long and it's one room plus my bath room...reminds me of the Graduate Residence that I stayed in at Queens just bigger. Its furnished (kind of) and I can't wait to get paid so I can make it more of a home. I was able to get a sofa that unfolds into a bed so anyone is welcome to visit.

5 Things I didn't expect (so far):

1. People don't use sheets here (they are hard to find).

2. The beds are rock hard (I am on my second mattress).

3. A single bed here is smaller than back home (my new mattress is a wider SUPER SINGLE).

4. My bathroom doesn't have a shower...IT IS THE SHOWER.

5. They don't use clothes dryers here.

6. My kitchen is hidden away in a set of cupboards (space is at a premium).
