Hello all...today was my first day at school and it was pretty good. I am confident that this was the right choice for me...but...more about that later. Today I want to talk about what I did AFTER school. I left school at 4:30 or so and headed straight home. I walked part way back with one of my co-teachers John. I enjoyed spending some time with John today and I am really looking forward to working with him as we seem to have a similar teaching style. So anyway...my plan for the evening was to continue my never ending and exhaustive search for a blanket for my stupid bed!!! Don't get me wrong they are easy to find...if you like flowers and pastel colours but I just want a plain white blanket that doesn't break the bank!!! :( Well, I went to a couple of stores but half way through my search I realized that I had forgotten my wallet at home...I know...stupid. So I went back to get it, but once I got home I realized that I didn't really want to shop for a blanket...so lame!!! What I really wanted was a beer! I hadn’t had a drink the whole time I'd been here so I decided to go to a place that I discovered last week called “Miller Time”. It's a western style bar very close to where I live. I had some wings and a few beers. It made me realize that I was feeling a bit homesick so I made the most of it. The wings are much smaller than I am used to but they were pretty amazing! I would stack them up against any of the wings that I've had back home...and the beer...MILLER GENUINE DRAFT NATURALLY!!! That took me back to my University days at Laurentian and it reminded me how good MDG really is. Make sure you get some. Ok that's all for now. Tomorrow I will try to get some pictures of my school. It's pretty impressive and all my teacher friends are sure to be jealous. Check you later.
